The Biscuit and The Bean Café opened July 3, 2017, to an open and receptive community. It is the result of the Smith Family desiring to offer a wholesome environment everyone can enjoy. We offer a comfortable atmosphere so that anyone can study, enjoy each other's company, or even host a business meeting. Meetings and/or gatherings can be held in our private room known as the Watson Room. The Watson Room is named after a distinguished pup that our family adores.
The Biscuit & The Bean offers customers specialty drinks, seasonal drinks, custom-blend coffees which can be served either hot, iced, or as a Frappuccino. We also have Cold Brew and Nitro Coffee served on tap. You can expect to find blue ribbon award-winning desserts and a variety of breakfast biscuits and other breakfast specialties such as casseroles, cinnamon buns, sticky buns, muffins, and scones which are served all day. Lunch offerings include deli sandwiches made with Boars head quality products, wraps, salads, and cold plates. House-made chicken salad and pimento cheese have become customer favorites.
As our tagline states, we are more than a coffee house, we are a community. Since opening, we have sponsored several fundraisers for organizations and a variety of other events. The Biscuit & The Bean Café hosted Christmas in July for a children’s home, a kidney donor awareness night, a day for cancer relay, held spirit nights for some of the area schools, donated ingredients to a local high school’s culinary class, biscuits to a local museum, and food items for Autism day. We strive to make our community better in the smallest of ways so that we can all be more like family.
Meet the Owners
Mother & Son team, Laura and Josh Smith
"My passion for baking/cooking started early with my grandparents! Bringing back childhood memories of your favorite comfort foods that your mom, grandma, and aunt would make for you is what we like to do here at The Biscuit & The Bean.
We focus on family and take pride in our family developed recipes for you to enjoy! We’re a second-generation family that has a love and passion for all those we serve! We’re grateful for the opportunity we’ve been given to share our talent and passion with the community."

"Coffee and friendship are very similar. They are both warm, inviting, and give you a pick me up when you are feeling down. It brings people together, signifies that you enjoy each other’s company, and it tells someone to sit and stay a while.
That is why we are passionate about cultivating and brewing an atmosphere that is so similar to coffee that you can’t wait to take another sip. So, stop on by and grab a cup and take a seat to get out of the daily grind."
